7"An interesting blend of science-fantasy, colorful and exaggerated art, and reportedly mold-breaking MMO gameplay, Wildstar is shaping up to be a heavy contender for the MMO market. NCSoft are putting their money where their mouth is with this one, as they, in an era of nigh-ubiquitous free to play MMO business models, will be charging a monthly subscription for Wildstar, but with a twist, ala CCP's PLEX, called C.R.E.D.D., explained below.
Ironically, despite never having heard of this game before coming across an ad for its open beta last week, I've apparently been following several of the game's concept artists on DeviantArt for quite a while, and even favorited a few pieces of art meant for this very game!
Also, note that the monthly subscription fee for the final release of the game will cost between $11 & $15, depending upon how many months worth of game time one buys at a shot. C.R.E.D.D. extensions, on the other hand, are in-game items worth 30 days of game time, buyable in or out of game, and while the in-game
rate will fluctuate with the player market, one can always buy it with real world currency for $20.
Lastly, if you plan on downloading the Wildstar beta, be aware that the current version of the game clocks in at a neatly packaged 20GB download. Yes, really. Thus, make plans and decisions accordingly."

The 1st 15, our first impressions series, is quite simply the first fifteen minutes of my time with a game, for what that's worth; no more, no less. First impressions go a long way in setting the tone for how well a game is received by its audience, and even a good game can turn away potential fans if it can't hook them in its earliest moments. That said, this should not be treated as a comprehensive review; it represents my very first impressions of the game only; nothing more, nothing less.
