Day Five
Location: The Veldt, Narshe, Figaro Castle
Steps Taken: 8295
Time played: 1:10
Total time played: 3:37
Characters: Sabin (13) Cyan (13) Edgar (14) Locke (12) Celes (11) Terra (13) Gau (13)

Today was the day, I knew I was to tackle Kefka. I got some pretty good rages for Gau. Unfortunately I couldn't find a stray cat to leap, but I did get marshal and cirpius. Wind slash and haste2 are the rewards for leaping those, and are VERY useful at this point in the game. I eventually arrived in Narshe, ready for the decisive battle. I defeated all of the imperial soldiers by using a very specific setup. I had Edgar alone on one team. He had a mythrilglove on along with running shoes, in the back row. Bioblaster will destroy everything in one hit, except for heavy armor which take a few. This gave Edgar tons of experience points, and he was a tank by himself. The second team was made up of Gau, Cyan, Locke and Terra. They all had good equipment on, Locke still had an air lancet with the guardian knife. Celes and Sabin only fought one battle, they were just in the back watching the whole time, with very low equipment. When I got to the rider, I stole a mythrilvest from it which is great to have at this point. Before fighting Kefka, I unequipped everyone who wasn't fighting. Kefka was pretty hard. Without Celes, prepare to be beat up by some very powerful magic, including the dreaded ice 2 which does around 200 damage to everyone, and is pretty much instant death if used on one person. The first time he used it, everyone survived so it wasn't too bad. Cyan died shortly after due to drain, another of Kefka's nasty magic attacks. Gau meanwhile kept applying haste2 to everyone. I would've liked it if he could've attacked some... After a bit of curing and some more beating, he released a final ice 2, before being cut to death by a barely standing Locke. He ran away, and I claimed victory (not to mention I stole an ether from him). So I watched the cutscene, Terra became an esper and flew off like crazy. When it was time to follow her, I set up a team of Locke, Edgar, Celes and Sabin. Gau and Cyan are at good levels and should have some time off, since I'll be bringing them back next time. I went to Figaro Castle and with Edgar leading the party, I was able to get discounts on all items in the castle, such as the flash and drill tools which are very powerful. I also bought some potions and opened the chests I missed (although I think I missed one, but that's not important). I didn't engage the cutscene with Sabin and Edgar, I will do that later when it's more appropriate. I left the castle, and saved. Ending the decisive day five.
