I beg to differ.

This video is the showcase how Western music has evolved during the US War in Afghanistan (2001 - 2021).

This video was originally going to go through year by year how music has changed in the US while soldiers, marines, airmen, and sailors have deployed overseas in Afghanistan, but unfortunately due to YouTube blocking copyrighted music being used in one video, I had to adjust.

I was going to upload this around August 30th but didn't have time, I figure putting it on September 11 was a more fitting date to make up for it... but then that didn't work so now I made it work-ish.

the War in Afghanistan that was lead by the Coalition forces, consisting mostly of NATO in it's long stretch of two decades, oversaw a large variety of music from Hip-Hop to Alternative Rock to Rap to EDM

Music you all in fact probably grew up listening to (assuming you are American). While your friends and relatives are out suffering in a ditch in some mountainous desert, you were growing up enjoying this cultural explosion of music, playing on Halo 3 and Modern Warfare 2 on the Xbox 360, and watching Pewdiepie...and so were they in that same ditch, bringing that American culture to this war torn land.

From 9/11, to the 2008 Recession to, Covid-19 Pandemic, to the January 6 incident, the span of the entire war encompasses these pivotal events in our lives.
