Going through a bit of a gaming slump after finishing Horizon Forbidden West, I looked through the PS Plus Extra catalogue and, by some stroke of good fortune, stumbled upon the gem that is the DOOM reboot. DOOM (2016) may be inferior to its sequel, Doom Eternal, in many ways, but this PS4 title is not without merit. In the oversaturated FPS genre, DOOM manages to rise above the plentiful Call of Duty sequels and clones and make a place for itself in the movement shooter space. In this DOOM (2016) review, I talk about what makes the game, in my eyes, one of the best videogames ever made.
