Video Transcript:

Do you like Golden Axe? Sure you do! It’s an awesome Beat’em Up series and one of Sega’s classic franchises. And yeah the series is kinda abandoned now, but back then, there were a LOT Golden Axe games. We even had Golden Axe RPGs and Fighting games.
But with so many Golden Axe games out there, how do we know which one is the best? Well, I’m here to answer that. The best Golden Axe game is without a doubt the 1990 Ms-Dos port of Golden Axe for IBM Pcs. Yes, it’s even better than the Arcade version.
On the surface it looks like a port of the Sega Genesis version except the graphics, sound and scrolling were all downgraded a bit. But you see, all of the game’s information is conveniently displayed for you in the install folder, including the game’s sprites.
So this means you can just pick any file, like the file for the final boss for example, change the name to that of one of the heros and there you go! Now you’re playing as the final boss.
Yeah, if you do this sort of thing you’re always gonna get this thing here for some reason but that’s okay. If you can ignore it you can now play as everything in the game… and I do mean everything.
Want to be the final boss? Here you go.
Now I’m the final boss. And now I’m riding a chicken leg. And now I’m riding a dragon. Yeah that doesn’t look weird at all
Now I’m a hammer boss.
But wait, you can do more than that, you can also change your enemies. So let’s make things interesting.
Now I’m a generic enemy and I’m fighting the heroes. I can even use their magic.
Now I’m a dragon. Now I’m a dragon and I’m riding Tyris Flare. Who’s the beast rider now? And now she shoots fire from her sword
And Now I’m a dragon again. Now I’m a dragon riding a dragon. Now I’m a dragon riding a dragon that shoots other dragons.
Now I’m a dragon riding a dragon that shoots dragons and I’m beating up a thief that drops dragons.
You know what? Screw it, now everything’s a dragon.
Hey, remember that campfire at the end of a level? Now it’s a dragon
Now I’m a villager.
Now I’m a piece of meat. Now I’m a piece of meat fighting other pieces of meat.
Now the graphics are shitty. This isn’t a mod, I just chose the wrong graphical settings. At least the game is super fast now. Look at that old man go.
Now I’m a dwarf again. And now I’m beating up a potion that drops thieves.
Now I’m a thief. And now I’m a thief trying to catch my potions.
And now we’re at the end of the video.
