This is an amazingly executed modern twist on the classic 'Kowareta style' of levels that have been around for ever. I think this level was first described to me as 'shukketsu but good' and I can definitely see how this level elevated the genre to a new level.
Designs are incredibly well made and detailed. Colour is on point. The camera movements are extremely zoomed out, which takes away a lot of the vibe of the genre, but it could be considered worth it to show the incredible design of the level. There's also next to no pulses, but this is okay.
The gameplay is incredibly fun and I really like they they've kept this at a lower, much more accessible difficulty of around top 200 (about the same difficulty as Kowa, but twice as long if not longer)
I really can't fault the design of this level though it feels pretty far separated from what it's going for. But the odd thing is, it's still definitely that style. Maybe the music helps. It's like a strange mix of Kowareta and Tidal Wave (thank god I'm not nexus or this would be the title) but actually really well made.
