The Best RPG You Were Told Was Bad
5As I've started going through older games I missed, I thought I'd experiment with documenting any I have particular feelings about, especially if they are games people should really go back and play. This is certainly one and one of the most enjoyable games I've played recently.
So today, here is a retro review for a slandered Wii JRPG, Arc Rise Fantasia. This game was originally released in 2010 by Imageepoch, now Mikage LLC (https://mikage.co.jp/en/ and https://x.com/mikagellc_en)
The game received a lot of criticism from reviewers, most of which was exaggerated, misrepresented or were the "typical games journo" bad takes we've now learned to expect from them.
If you've already played many of the best RPGs, this should be one of your next JRPG picks if you can borrow or get a hold of it in some other way...
