How do you make a top 10 list of a year? How do you deal with the games that are supposedly fantastic but you've never played, never owned, or will never get a chance to get to the table comparatively to the ones you have?
Do we include expansions in the best "games" of the year? To me, it seems like they're the step-child of the gaming world, ever ignored and set aside when the "real" awards come about. Why is that?
Plus, should games that aren't really available at all to consumers, games that don't even release until 2024 be on lists like this for 2023?
Lastly, how much does price unconsciously effect these thoughts and rankings at times, especially with the rising prices (crowdfunding & legacy/big box retail)?
