My run at TBH11. Overall I'm very proud at how I played. I know it could've been a bit cleaner but I don't play enough to be consistent. I'm just happy to say I won a set at a tournament. Especially my losers R2 set, that was a ton of fun. Felt like I was mustering up all my skill to play some of the best Smash ever. Now I want to enter more tournaments so I can play against new people and get better. Here are some of my individual thoughts about each of my sets:

Winners Round 1: vs Butterkix
Game 1 (0:00) / Game 2 (2:56)
I was able to see how this guy's Twitter clips before the tournament and I already knew I was going to lose. Although to be honest, their Falco was not as clean as the clips made it out to be. Not to say he was bad, because he was definitely the better player, but if I played a few more games with him, I'd be able to take down his Falco. Although if I did beat him in a game he would've switched to his Icies and then I would've lost. Either way, I appreciate the homie stock in Game 2 so that it felt more like an equal game. Because of the SD, I wasn't going to let myself win the set, that would've felt unfair.

Losers Round 1: vs SoloLegend
Game 1 (5:04) / Game 2 (11:27)
I felt like I was playing online fighting this guy (no offense). He was rolling a lot, running away, and spamming blaster. And yet I was playing behind for most of the game because I was just feeling the nerves. I knew I was better than him so I didn't want to lose, the game was going on for almost six minutes so I was just embarrassed at everyone watching us, and my thoughts and actions were not lining up. Nonetheless, I pulled through and won the game, and that gave me the confidence to easily win game 2. I even started the game with a reflector because I knew he was going to spam blaster.

Losers Round 2: vs Plouffe
Game 1 (14:43) / Game 2 (19:06) / Game 3 (23:58)
This guy was awesome. He's from Montreal, Canada and was so nice. We fist bumped before every match and he gave me some tips after the set. I felt like I was playing very carefully and precisely, as one should against a Snake. After losing game 1, I adapted very well and won game 2. I almost SD'd which would've been a terrible way to end my tourney run. But after winning game 2, he put on his earbuds and adapted right back to win game 3. Even still, I had a fun time playing against him.
