The Block 2023 Episode 12 Recap: The Blockheads cop an urgent warning from Foreman Dan - but one tea
#TheBlock #2023Episode #12Recap
It's fair to say that The Block hasn't made it any easier for our teams. Eliza and Liberty experience a shocking setback. Steph and Gian are forced to sell their spa. Dan delivers some urgent news that some have completely ignored. The week is quickly ending, and Brett from House 3 is doing his best to stay focused and on track. He and his wife, Kristy, have already come to terms with two major shocks by learning that they need to rebuild their home and repair poor quality bricks. Kristy sums it up "Mondays and Thursdays we're usually where we are." If it sounds bad, that's why. Things got worse on Friday morning. The extent of the disaster is revealed in the video below… "There's still hope," Dan says unconvincingly. "We're not going to finish this room," says Kristy pouting. But there is another important priority that is about to begin. Huge rainfall is expected. Nobody wants a repeat of what happened in House 4, where Steph and Gian were horrified when the flooded ceiling tiles collapsed. “It looks like we're going to have a disastrous day,” Dan sums up. In the video below, foreman Dan explains exactly why this should happen… Blockheads understand the logic of Dan's directive, but are all worried about how long it will take to implement. "You don't have the flexibility of time," confirms Kyle from House 1. According to Brett, this news shatters even a shred of remaining effort. “I was trying to be positive, but now I'm a little over that,” she says sadly. READ 'He's a pirate!' He and host Scott Cam take a weekly trip to see what the Blockheads have prepared for their work in their home space. At their first stop in House 5, however, ecstatic enthusiasm is lacking when the duo discover what sisters Eliza and Liberty have planned for their wall. Scott strongly encourages girls to aim for a higher end result than they think. "This worries me," he says, examining his original options. Shelley kindly points out that while the ideas are good, the implementation still needs work. WATCH Scotty gives contestants an early budget warning The team's stylist Lucky for Liberty, both Shelley and Domain's Alice, are on hand to give him firsthand advice on what luxury could look like. There are lots of tips, and she admits much-needed expert advice helped her regain excitement. At The Block, the site builders are busy covering each house with tarpaulin, while crews are removing the old ceilings inside. It is the responsibility of each competitor to check that their room is securely covered, and some take the guesses more seriously than others. Ash from House 2 is apparently unaffected by all this.
