XEL is a game going for the top-down Zelda-inspired feel that falls short due to a massive variety of bugs and a general lack of polish. The first few areas and the first dungeon are quite good, showing off the time manipulation mechanics nicely and having plenty of puzzles to solve. However, after that, it becomes messy and unfinished feeling, with a lack of interesting puzzles and a prevalence of bugs so severe that it feels like you are breaking the game constantly. Avoid it for now, but hopefully, it gets fixed up with time.
