The broken Intelligence stat in Final Fantasy (NES) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #finalfantasy
In Final Fantasy for the NES, the INT stat does absolutely nothing. Like, actually nothing.
The intelligence stat was supposed to affect the potency of your magic. For example, a higher INT was supposed to translate into a greater damage output on your Black Magic. It was also supposed to affect how much your CURE spells can heal. Instead, it does nothing, meaning the CURE spell is just as good regardless of whether it's cast by a White Wizard, a Red Mage, or a Knight.
The intelligence bug was fixed in most later versions of Final Fantasy, but NOT in the PlayStation version!
Anyway, not much else to say about this bug. More information on Final Fantasy Wiki - https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Intelligence_bug
