A Game that needs no introduction and that's The Chaos Engine!,
although that was an introduction :D

Released on the Amiga in 1993, this is one of my all-time favorite Amiga games. With its thumping techno soundtrack to its steampunk style graphics and its tough yet fair difficulty.

This is a game that has it all.

It's a simple game to understand, you choose from a selection of mercenaries to make up a team of two. To either play with a CPU controlled character or with a real person if you have enough friends.
And the goal is to destroy The Chaos engine which has evolved into some kind of monster making, warpy thing.

As you explore the various stages, starting in a jungle, you collect coins by killing these creatures and at the end of the stage, you can upgrade your characters abilities, such as intelligence, speed, health etc and also your weapons power.
another feature I like is the various way to complete a level sometimes having at least three different routes that reward your efforts with lives and coins etc.

This has also been released on the Megadrive and Super Nintendo but I always feel they lose something in the translation.

A truly epic game that every true gamer should play :)

I forgot to mention this is the CD32 version of the game, the only real difference is a slight colour increase and the different intro but still plays exactly the same as the a500/600 versions. :)

Also note I intentionally kill off player two, that way I get to keep all the goodies and upgrade quicker :)

Thanks for watching :)
