I love a good cold opening and while the one in Immortals Fenyx Rising may not seem to qualify because of length, it works hand in hand with the writing and tone of the game. First, Typhon is teased, the framing device of Zeus and Prometheus is set, even a tutorial of the game's mechanics is run through before the game "proper" begins. Love it.
