This video was long in the making, I finally found the patience to spend 4 full days restarting my game 200 times and testing every graphical setting in Stalker GAMMA, recording and consigning everything, to see how to squeeze the best performance out of it.

A lot of this stuff will also apply to Regular vanilla Anomaly, EFP etc...

Like I say in the video numerous times, your mileage may vary widely depending on your rig, but I think this guide is a good reference to see what setting does what, how it impacts performance and how does it look in game.
