Here's another glitch / bug I had to deal with several times now. Doesn't seem to matter whether I'm playing regional or worldwide, free-for-all or team. Sometimes everything works fine, sometimes this happens (the screen isn't always red/brown, most of the time it's just plain black).
The match seems to go on anyway as can be seen by the status updates in the upper left corner.
