At long last I am back streaming some FF8 on the original PlayStation! It's been a while, as I wanted to focus entirely on spooky games for October, but now we can go on with the second half of the game. Last time, we learned a lot about Cid and NORG's partnership, the origin of Balamb Garden, the ultimate goal of SeeD special forces, Cid and Sorceress Edea's marriage, and we also learned a little bit about Ellone, Laguna's semi-adoptive daughter from years prior. Apparently Ellone was the one responsible for sending us back in time to different parts of Laguna's life, confusing the hell out off all parties involved, both past and present. She was doing this in vain, but at least wanting to see if she could change the current events of the world. How, why and when she got this power is beyond me, and hopefully the game tries to explain it later on.

Anyway, we are still in a mobilized Balamb Garden floating at sea, after escorting Ellone to Cid and Edea's personal SeeD forces for safe keeping away from, presumably, the now possessed/evil Sorceress Edea. We left off right when Rinoa and Squall were about to have a first date of sorts now that things have calmed down around the Garden. Wish me luck!
