Back with some PlayStation Demo Discs! Today we're going to be looking at the very first Jampack (even before DualShock was introduced)! There's going to be some jank and compatibility issues as we go through all 12 games included on this disc, and even some video bonus features! Wish me luck!

Let's look at these games one at a time, and rank them best to worst, 1 through 12, let's go!
1. Herc's Adventures. This game was surprisingly fun, 2 player, 3 very different characters, in a very long demo in a massive area. It's cartoon-y Lucas Arts Gauntlet set in ancient Greece. What's not to love? I'm going to definitely play this one on stream at some point.
2. Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. This is a surprisingly simple, fun, intriguing, and colorful battle-style falling block puzzle game with familiar & likable characters. I just wish the demo was longer and let you play a little more. I'll also be streaming this one, considering it was one of the few preferred games on the PlayStation Classic.
3. Rage Racer. Cool Namco racing game, off-shoot of the Ridge Racer series. Controls fine, some getting used to. It's just very short. I never played a Ridge Racer game before, but am curious to see what the series is like.
4. Machine Hunter. This is a pretty fun top-down twin-stick shooter, just a little bit too mindlessly easy. You can't really fail. Cool concept though, stealing the mechs of the people you kill to become more powerful. Pretty long demo too. I just don't like the insta-death, no-escape pits that you can't see coming until you're in them. Not sure if I'd play the official version, though. A bit forgettable.
5. Rally Cross. This game takes A LOT of getting used to, and is a very technical racer, even though it's at slow speeds. It looks very good though for an early PlayStation game, and if I just had this demo disc, I probably would replay this one until I figured out the subtleties of the gameplay to get better.
6. Thunder Truck Rally. It's very loud and intense, so it grabs you immediately. Controls horribly, even for a d-pad controlled racing game. Not much else to say, very short circuit.
7. Codename: Tenka. I've never heard of this and for good reason: It's pretty forgettable. I know console first-person shooters are always a little rough, but geez. The controls are so needlessly complex, you move so slow, have so many options, and the enemies are tanky. I know my gameplay looked bad, but looking up and down is L1 and L2, and there is ZERO aim assist. Holy mother of God. You also have to move fast because of the bombs and figure out what's going on. This game does get points for atmosphere, style, and having a big level for replay-ability.
8. The Lost World: Jurassic Park. This game is just mindless. You walk to the right, take unavoidable damage, eat an enemy, heal, continue to walk right, the demo ends. What am I supposed to take away here?
9. Pitfall 3D: Beyond the Jungle. This game sucked. If I'm being honest, I kinda hate that this game even exists. Who in the hell was like "Yeah, remember Pitfall on the Atari back in the 1970's? That game ruled! Make a sequel!"? What a dumb idea for a game. It's like if they released Pong 2, Kaboom 2, and E.T. 2 for the PS5.
10. NBA ShootOut '97. Uh, not sure what to say. I just really don't like sports games too much. I do like basketball games, typically, more than football. I don't hear much about this one though as much as something like NBA Jam, so maybe even among sports fans this one might not be a winner.
11. MDK. I've heard on PC this game is actually pretty sick, not amazing, but fun. This demo, unfortunately is only one room of choppy semi-fun, killing two enemies before crashing. So... idk, it's unfortunate.
12. Dynasty Warriors. I know the later games in the series were hack 'n slash, so I kinda want to assume that even at full speed, this game is kinda forgettable. Unfortunately, we gotta look at this game for its demo, and the demo was slow mo. Slow mo fighting is no fun.
