62We begin our US Speed Tour Cities extravaganza with a look at 1 of 4 of our newest touring cars: the Chevrolet Corvette C8.R. With the Vette now a mid-engined supercar instead of a front-engined sports car, Chevy were determined to get even more success from their new racing machine when they entered it in IMSA and WEC, and they did, securing two back-2-back IMSA constructors championships. How does that fare in The Crew 2?
Top Speed: Above Average
Acceleration: Above Average
Nitrous: Above Average
Cornering Speed: Average
Handling: pretty agile and rather balanced as well. The C8.R with its new mid-engined setup benefits from better grip and stability now that things are more balanced.
Performance: even with the immense torque of the C3 Touring Car, the C8.R is the fastest of the Vette Touring Cars, maxing out at over 260 MPH. The car also possesses pretty good acceleration and very good nitrous power.
Conclusion: it's in the top 10 for now, but if anything, with the new handling meta for Touring Cars, the C8.R is an upper table car. Not so much Pay 2 Win, which is a good thing, but if you wanted the fastest touring Vette, the only way to get one is through the Premium Motorpass.
