I bet you big money a Maybach was the last thing you’d ever consider to enter a Need For Speed game, right? Low and behold though, here we are. The first new car to come in Volume 2 of NFS Unbound is the 2021 Mercedes-Maybach S 680, a car that exudes opulence at every curve. Massaging and reclining front and rear seats, rear entertainment system with two separate screens, a leather folding chair, frigid wine chest, and tons more for passengers. As for the driver, they get to chauffeur their passengers and bosses in a car with all-wheel drive and 603 horsepower and 665 lb-ft of torque under their right foot, all coming from an AMG-built 6.0-liter BiTurbo V12. You’d never think a car like this would end up here, right? A racing game where we race for cash, not comfort? Better yet, a racing game where, to make this car even better, would give us the option of giving it Mansory visual parts, a widebody kit, or even swapping out the already powerful V12 (which can be upgraded to up to 1200+ horsepower) with an 8.0-liter Quad-Turbo W16 from the Bugatti Chiron, pumping out up to 1500 horsepower. Best yet? It can’t even reach 400+ in S+ class, so it’s best as an S-Class car. What goes around comes around I guess.
