The Crew (Beta) - How to change Max FPS from 30 to 60!
0In The Crew, for some off reason, the max FPS is set, AND LOCKED, at 30.
This is not good for those of us who have machines capable of running it at a higher FPS.
Most people play games at about 60 FPS, the default refresh rate for most monitors and TVs.
NOTE - I DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT OCCURS IN MAKING THIS MODIFICATION TO THE GAME FILE. IF YOU GET BANNED OR YOUR PC BLOWS UP, I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY WHAT-SO-EVER.
If you have a system capable of running the game at a higher FPS, then why lock it at 30? You'd have a smoother experience, and would have better control of the game because there is less time between frames for it show you what's going on.
Navigate to your "My Documents" folder, find The Crew, open it, and then open PCScalability with NOTEPAD or your preferred text editor. Change FPS from "30" to "60", and the game will prevent itself from displaying more than 60 frames per second. If you have a 120hz capable screen, by all means, run it at 120FPS if your machine can handle it.
