The Cursed Knight (Steam) No Death - Insane Mode
5Here's a game that grabbed my attention sometime last year during their Kickstarter campaign. The Cursed Knight is a fun 16bit throwback with a rather dark story, plenty of gameplay variety, solid OST, and provides a great challenge.
This run here came after plenty of failed attempts. I put a lot of time into this game to get comfortable enough to want to try and run a sub 40min in-game time and a no death at that. I was chasing two Steam achievements at the same time. I failed on the speedrun part (Note: I'm not a speedrunner) and missed by 2mins but this is why I'm spamming through the story. So sorry for those that wanted to read all of the lines here. I didn't take the time to see if the story was included in the in-game clock or not, but I wasn't taking any chances. Anyways, now that I got one monkey off my back with the Insane Mode victory, I wouldn't mind spending some more time on the game and try to get that under 40minute achievement with some riskier plays.
Side Note: This game begs to be speed ran. It was a surprise to not find a category on speedrun . com . Given the successful Kickstarter campaign and plenty of pub from YouTube content creators it seems gamers still might be missing out here. Just my thoughts.
