Welcome to Fortuna III, Prospector! So glad that you read our recruitment ad. You are now entering dangerous territory, but be sure, this is your chance to earn glory, riches, and most importantly: bragging rights! The Cycle is a Sci-Fi PvEvP Competitive Quest Shooter made by YAGER, and it is FREE TO PLAY! And this is not some corporate propaganda spouted by one of the three factions, not at all! The Cycle will have no pay-to-win elements whatsoever, nada, zilch!
If you want to support us, you will still have ample opportunity to do so without influencing gameplay: Founder’s Packs, dozens of skins, cosmetics and customization options... give yourself a new look on Fortuna III! And best of all: Season 2 just started, so treat yourself to a Fortuna Pass and enjoy all the amazing content that you can unlock, as well as our brand-new second map Crescent Falls!
Since you are already here, make sure to acquaint yourself with the greedy corporate overlords that will hand you your paychecks AND your sweet-ass gear: the ICA provides you with tried and tested weaponry. You know, machine guns, shotguns, you name it. Korolev wants you to become as unwieldy as their industrial machines, but boy do they pack a punch. And Osiris? Who knows what those Eggheads cooked up? I swear I saw a needle-gun lying around recently, and those lasers make my eyes water.
Most importantly: The Cycle is not a Battle Royale! You get dropped into a match in the eye of a radioactive storm called the Cycle with 19 other people, and you have 20 minutes to complete as many contracts as you possibly can and to get to the EVAC ship before being destroyed! Along the way, you will fight hordes of alien monsters, encounter some adorable Leafmen, and kick the butts (or get your’s kicked) of other Prospectors that try to outperform you! Who knows, in the end you may all end up on the EVAC shuttle together.
And what do you do with the rewards you earn? Easy: you use them to craft your own loadout! Weapons, gadgets, even abilities... every faction has its own Tech that you can steadily unlock and then craft into a loadout that supports your very own personal playstyle! Want to sneak up on people with a cloak and shotgun? We got you covered. Want to rain down hell from the sky while shooting at long range? Not a problem. You do you. We provide the tools.
And if you need more of an adrenaline rush, you should join the fight in Ranked Mode! Compete with other ambitious and skilled players for those coveted positions on our leaderboards and unique rewards! All this and more you can do on maps that are painstakingly hand-crafted by our team, in a world that is visually stunning in its unique art style and full of indigenous (and alien) life.
