Yes it did take me over a year to read 3 books...
I've finally read some Warhammer 40k Books and can talk about the lore! Unfortunately it's quite possibly the WORST and most disgusting warhammer 40k lore that is out there: the daemonculaba. This video will dive into the journey of Uriel Ventris and how this poor, poor ultramarine ended up having to deal with the most vile of horrors ever conceived.

[1] "The" would work fine because daemonculaba is plural but in talking about what A daemonculaba is I guess it should be singular?
[2] Speaking of pronunciation, I probably pronounced all of that wrong. If you're from this area, let me know in the comments!
[3] Against my better judgement I tried to see what google images had for the daemonculaba and there are some people who have either made a 3D sculpt or kitbashed a daemonculaba. Why? Why would you do this? What is wrong with you? Who hurt you? Stop it. Get some help.
[4] I could not find the original source of this image. Does anyone know it? I searched for a while but to no avail. Anyway that's Captain Idaeus and he HATES bridges.
[5] I tried to find in the book where Learchus is described but as far as I could tell he's only ever described as being "regal" or "of pure stock" and other ways to describe, essentially, the most generic Space Marine. No idea what his hair colour is, or if he ever has hair.
[6] This is Leandros from Warhammer 40000: Space Marine. He's a meme. Learchus is actually a decent character to be honest, and the relationship between Ventris and Learchus is really interesting. I haven't read the second trilogy yet so maybe he does turn out to just be a lawful stupid [insert your own choice of expletive here]
[7] I actually don't know if there is any explicit leniency in the codex astartes but people go against it all the time without much of an issue so I guess it's fine
[8] Omphalos Daemonium but it's a demon train and the Dark Tower is one of the few other book serieses I've read
[9] Apparently there was a Dutch band called Space Marine in the 90s. I could only find information on the Dutch version of wikipedia lmao. It at least saved me having to draw a bunch more space marines I've been working on this video for far too long at this point
