I'm honestly not even sure how exactly the trade for Robert Williams (Time Lord) and Malcolm Brogdon makes sense for us in Portland, but I'm willing to roll with it for now and see how it pans out. But I am genuinely confused and a little concerned for our Center spot now and the rotations there. With DeAndre Ayton AND Rob Williams, how can we mange to run the rotations at the 4 & 5? I suggest DeAndre at the 4 and Rob at the 5 personally, and that would best fit their skill sets respectively. But I don't see either being able to keep up, especially without fouling, the more athletic shooters that teams will undoubtedly use against such a lineup.
As for Malcolm, fortunately it looks like we're already looking into trading him out too, though he wouldn't be a bad guy to have as a locker room and veteran leader for the young guys, doubling as a mentor to them as well, even if just for a season.
Boston chose to really shake up their team, rotations and style of play this offseason with the trading of Rob & Marcus Smart, and getting both Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingus. Though I think a lot of Celtics fans will assume they just screwed their chances at contention, I think they've likely needed this kind of a shake up for a couple of seasons now, and they might just benefit from it more than you'd assume at the surface.

And Portland gets a quality haul overall back in return for both of these trades. The picks we got in this trade of Jrue to the C's for Robert & Malcolm was arguably the most important part of the trade for us, as we originally had only obtained 1 unprotected first round draft pick from Milwaukee alongside the two pick swaps. Now we've obtained another 3 first round picks, with only one being protected in the Golden State Warriors' first round pick (next year's draft), which is protected through pick 4. So that pick should translate with a absolute guarantee to us.
