So covering another lesser known concept is the Plot Point System for D&D 5e. This system gives all the players a new resource, Plot Points. Every player gets 1 and based on the type of game you want to play they can do a variety of different things. This could be used to "twist" the story to allow for something new/fun to happen or to allow the party to circumvent a troublesome task. A complication could be added by a different player to make the plot twist more difficult and interesting. Or possibly my favorite, the concept of the rotating DM. Whenever a player spends a plot point, they become the DM having their character become an NPC and the previous DM becomes a player. What are your thoughts?
