THE DARK SIDE OF POLITICAL BROKERAGE IN BBC @MEMBAFLIX
A question of political condemnation? witch-hunt? Selfishness or justice?
Recent allegations of corruption, Stalled projects, awarding of tenders to non locals, distribution of infrastructure across the four wards etc against Hon Barongo, area member of Parliament have sparked widespread public concern and criticism.
While it is crucial to address such claims with seriousness and due process, it is equally important to maintain a sense of fairness and proportionality in our judgments. It is in the public domain that mhesh has involved local contractors in execution of projects in our Constituency,it should be known, there are Govt entities in place that are involved in the whole process ie NGCDF,MOE & KeRRA respectively. The following projects were undertaken by locals beyond reasonable doubt:
1. Nyangeti primary
2. Endereti Comprehensive primary
3. Ongoing Gesabakwa primary school
4. Ongoing Ndereti OC primary.
5. Ongoing Oroche center of excellence primary school.
6. Magenche DOK primary
7. Riribe,Iyenga & Ritembu ablution blocks
8. Installation of water tanks
9. Completion of Eberege primary school center of excellence
10. Completion of Igorera primary school center of excellence etc!
I'll critically examine the accusations leveled against Hon Barongo, considering the unavailability of evidence the potential consequences of hasty condemnation.
Analysis of the Accusations
The allegations against The MP primarily revolve around bad blood, Malice, politics, propaganda, antagonism, tribalism and generally false accusations, e.g.Non local contractors, Unequal distribution of infrastructure resources& misappropriating funds even when The MP has only served for just two years.
While these claims are undoubtedly grave, it is essential to note that they remain unproven at this stage.
The legal system operates on the principle of presumption of innocence until guilt is established beyond a reasonable doubt.
Therefore, it is imperative to refrain from jumping to conclusions and allow the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation if any. (Most of the information can be proved otherwise by the auditor general reports) Uploaded annually for the public perusal.
Potential Consequences of
Hasty condemnation of a public figure, even in the face of serious allegations, can have far-reaching consequences. It can damage their reputation irreparably, even if they are ultimately exonerated. Moreover, it can erode public trust in the democratic process and discourage capable individuals from seeking public office.
It is crucial to strike a balance between holding our elected officials accountable and protecting their right to a fair trial as guided by the constitution.
Call for Due Process and Impartiality
In light of the accusations against Hon Barongo it is imperative that the relevant authorities conduct a swift and impartial investigation. All evidence must be carefully examined, and due process must be followed at every stage. If the allegations are substantiated, appropriate legal action should be taken. However, if the MP is found to be innocent, steps should be taken to restore their reputation and clear their name.
In conclusion,While the allegations against the mp are undoubtedly concerning, it is crucial to approach the situation with a sense of fairness, sincerity and objectivity.
Hasty condemnation can have serious repercussions, both for the individual concerned and for the broader political landscape. It is imperative that we allow the legal process to take its course and refrain from making judgments based on speculation, prejudgment , political witch-hunt, clanism-cards, tribalism and hearsays .
Only through a thorough and impartial investigation can we arrive at a just and equitable outcome.
