What the Words I am Saying
The Darkness and The Light
Are you the darkness or the Light?
The ones who look away
When called by name
Who speaks meaningless words
And acts with empty threats
Who act by standing by
And not by offering a hand
Who complains about a puppeteer
that isn’t pulling your strings
Who calls a name in vain
for the choices you’ve made
Who puts the blame on others
when you started the flames
Who stared into the abyss and
Smiled when it stared back
Which side are you on, the darkness or the light?
The ones who speak for the voiceless
Without having to be asked
Who steps up to the challenge
When no else would
Who help those in need
No matter how they do so
Who ask not for reward
but a silent thank you
Who fears the nightmares
But has the courage to fight back
Who let’s their actions speak
To the world of Peace and Unity
What do you want to be, the darkness or the light?
The one who chooses hide from the light
To sulk in their own darkness
The one who tells truths only to hurt
But tells the lies to further the pain
The one who watches as others suffer
But is as pained on the outside
Who enjoys the title of monsters
But hates to be called weak
Who think far above others
When the people below are worse off
Who chose to shout in anger and confusion
Rather than being stern and understanding
Who choose to watch the dark clouds
And care less of the silver lining
What do you choose to be, Darkness or the Light
The one who dives into the void of darkness
To be able to find another twinkle of light?
The one who lies to protect other
But knows they have has to tell the truth
The one willing to sacrifice to another
Only because they are of the same kind
Who pays no mind to being called Superman
But admitting they have a kryptonite
Who thinks of others that have it worse for wear
But lives to the fullest to not waste their life
Who chooses the way of not raising a fist
No matter the scars it leaves on someone
Who chooses to look at the glass as half full
What do you wanna be the darkness or the light?
The one who walks with scars of the dark
But is unwilling to walk into the light with them
Who have been through hell and back
But choose to spread the torment to others
Who lean on themselves to be known as powerful
Despite falling to pieces on the inside
Who choose to ignore the help of others
When they need it the most
The one who stares at the light
And sees nothing but hate
Who is the Darkness And The Light
The one who wears their heart on their sleeves
And walks through the darkness unaffected by it
Who suffer the burdens that come with life
But are willing to take more to lessen the weight on others
Who aren’t ashamed to be seen as broken
Knowing they are of strong mind and heart on the inside
Who choose to ignore people pushing them away
And helps those that are truly in need of it
Who stares at the darkness
But sees the potential for greatness.
