Between 1986’s Castlevania for the NES and 1991’s Super Castlevania IV on the Super Nintendo, the Castlevania franchise couldn’t be stopped. Even the Game Boy games tore up trees, topping two million sales. In the early 2000s, Castlevania was reinvented as a slick, 60fps 3D action game, specifically inspired by Capcom’s Devil May Cry. This is the story of Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness. The last two console games in the Castlevania franchise.
