The Destruction of the Borderlands Endgame in the Pre-Sequel (& How to Fix It)
In this video I critique the Borderlands: Pre-Sequel endgame and the impacts the Loot Grinder and other changes have on it. There is a real risk of the Borderlands series losing what makes it's endgame special and this video I wanted to highlight what that risk is and how to fix it.
Problem in simple terms:
The Legendary recipe in the loot grinder in it's current form provides us with a "one best way" to obtain any legendary weapon we want and removes the incentive to farm the huge variety of bosses and enemies in the game.
Solution in simple terms:
Change the recipe ingredients to 3 different legendaries.
Change the recipe output to 1 random type legendary.
Make all bosses farmable.
Allow us to reset quests at level 50.
How this helps:
Removes the "one best way" by forcing at least three bosses to be farmed for legendaries and by randomizing the reward. Farming bosses that specifically drop weapons will be the best way to obtain said weapons again but the loot grinder will still be fun.
Borderlands is a Loot-Based Action RPG First Person Shooter. Basically it's what you'd get if you crossed ARPGs like the Diablo series with the FPS genre. It features thousands of different guns, character builds and customization, vehicle and first person combat and a detailed story mode.
