The Pavagarh Mandir is one of the 52 Shakti-Peethas of India. However, Mahmud Begda, one of the Sultan’s of Gujarat destroyed the Shikhara of the temple and due to this the Dhwaj was not unfurled for over 500 years. PM Modi enabled the introduction of schemes which sees the Dhwaj fly high today at the Pavagarh Mandir.
