The Kedarnath Temple is situated at a height of 11,657 feet from mean sea level and is surrounded by mountain from all sides. In the year 2011, heavy rainfall and landsides destroyed the nearby vicinity. There was a sheer state of neglect, but with the arrival of PM Modi there was a much needed infrastructural push for the Kedarnath temple that also restored vision and purity of Adi Shankaracharya.
