I just started playing the Survival DLC which is a lot of fun and this was my first successful escape playing SOLO. Because I am not yet familiar with the locations of all the good loot I was just exploring and having fun. This was also my first time killing a "Hunter" which spawns when signaling the extraction helicopter and must be killed to be able to leave.
The Hunter is scaled to your current character/equipment level so if you are having troubles defeating him keep all your green items and equip them before using your flare gun to spawn an easier version of the Hunter. Once he has spawned quickly switch back to your best gear and take him down!
The trophy "Survival Instincts" requires you to complete a match earning 10,000 points or more. You earn 4,000 points from completing the required tasks and escaping and there is a bonus 600 points if you collect the Antivirals within 20 minutes "Time Sensitive Materials". The rest of your points will come from kills, looting and maintaining your characters: Thirst, Hunger, Disease, Cold etc. If you play in PvP mode you earn 20% more points!
