Released in 2002, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is an action RPG developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. The open-world environment is set in the fictional fantasy world of Tamriel, specifically on the island of Vvardenfell, which is part of the Morrowind province. As with the Elder Scrolls series in general, Morrowind offers a free-form world, in which the player can take different approaches on how to play the main quest-line, side-quests, or just roam about. The game also offers native support for mods, of which thousands exist by now, such as for enhancing the resolution and graphics.
