Unfortunately for Andrew, his dream of playing the character would crumble to pieces once the sequel to the reboot was filming. Garfield, a fan of the popular Marvel super-hero, shared that the studio took over the character and focused more on maximizing profits rather than the characters and story that was being told to the fans.
This all would come to an end when the studio fired Garfield and decided to reboot the franchise by recasting the role to up and comer Tom Holland who has already been part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the past 8 years.
