The END of GTA 5 Mods?? Take-Two Interactive Shuts Down OpenIV (Reaction and Analysis)
124A definitive history of Take-Two Interactive and OpenIV when it comes to the law and what has transpired here. First of all, calm down. It's not the end of the world. Nonetheless, something is fishy about this. I feel like OpenIV must have been up to something that was further in the legal grey area than what they are normally up to with their GTA 5 mods. I have a hunch it was this Liberty City to GTA 5 mod. As it was nearing completion and looked pretty good, Rockstar/Take Two Interactive wanted it bumped off. OpenIV was around for almost 10 years and was available for GTA 5 on PC for 2 years. It doesn't just get shut down all of a sudden. I'm sure there will be some bootleg Chinese version of it coming out. I also would not be surprised if Rockstar is planning on some sort of Liberty City to GTA 5 DLC.
