The End of Nintendo Streamers? Nintendo Creators Program Rules Update

The Nintendo Creators program e-mailed all the Nintendo Creators 9/29/2017 and said that "Live streaming on YouTube falls outside the scope of the Nintendo Creators Program. This means that you cannot broadcast content on YouTube Live from the account you have registered to the Nintendo Creators Program. Please check the user guide for details."

This looks like all Nintendo Creators are not allowed to live stream but this is not the case. Creators have two options:
1. Brodcast from a channel that is not registered to the Nintendo Creators Program- (meaning the whole channel not a youtube account)
2. Register videos containing Nintendo Intellectual Property one at a time.

If you already had a channel that was registered with the program, you can un-register and re-register individual videos.

The big downside to this change is that channels that are registered receive 70% of revenue sharing with Nintendo. Individual videos registered only receive 60% ad revenue sharing where Nintendo keeps 40%.

The disclosures that people are supposed to add for Nnintendo videos say "ANY advertising revenue from this video will be shared with Nintendo". There are streamers who have sponsors or super chat. This revenue is not shared with Nintendo so I think that the Nintendo is trying to figure out how to change some verbage around.

In short if your channel is registered with Nintendo Creators program you are not allowed to live stream. If you register videos one at a time with Nintendo then you are good to go.
