Originally released by Annapurna Interactive on April 25, 2017, for PC and having a follow-up release for XBox One on July 19, 2017, the story-driven game What Remains of Edith Finch by developer Giant Sparrow places the player in the role of Edith Finch, Jr., the final surviving member of the Finch family. The game has generally received very high scores by critics, often 9/10 or 5/5.

Piecing together history through strange tales, Edith tries to learn about what her family believed is a curse, and whether she herself will fall victim to it as well. Exploring the colossal Washington-state Finch house, can Edith discover a clue about her past that might actually save her life?
