The game is set in Buenos Aires in the same days of the events described in the comics, but the characters you will play as will be completely different.
Therefore, if you have already read the comic, you will nonetheless experience a story in the same setting of which you don't know the epilogue. Otherwise, you can enjoy the game without knowing anything about the original story and read the comics later.
The Eternaut uses very simple game mechanics to live a survival experience with strong narrative elements: you will have to build up a team, gathering items, fighting enemies, resolving objectives and deciding how to proceed with your unique story.
The game gives the players maximum freedom, alllowing them to interact as they please with the surrounding. Inspired by the beloved point-and-click games from our childhood, in the Eternaut the players will be able to have the characters talk about different topics, interact with items like doors, shelves and vehicles, and even combine apparently useless items in new, stronger items.
