After many many months, the fast destroyer blade is no longer a mystery. Unfortunately it's not as good as it sounds: the arbalest is a necessary ingredient to set up a fast dblade and the inputs required are incredibly precise - what we call a frame perfect swap. Howewer, I believe the way it works is still interesting to know and maybe to investigate further: we don't know yet the real reason why the procedure I show in this video ends up in a fast dblade.
That being said, I do believe that there might be some niche uses for it especially if you are an arbalest enjoyer. Speaking of which, shoutout to T0yOta (https://www.youtube.com/user/GDcraft1 - he's committed to make the fast dblade work, what a chad) and Saleem (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCn_P_yVcM3otJs6AtCBHagw) for making the sound mod I use at the end of the video, which makes the fast dblade easier to set up. You should definitely download it if you wish to practise it.
If you are a console player rejoice: the fast dblade is the tech of the people, way easier at low fps. You could be able to pull it off somewhat reliably at 60 fps.
