After a hiatus that lasted eight years, Samus Aran, and the Metroid franchise, had been given new life thanks to Retro Studios: An unproven developer who insisted that the way to make Metroid 3D was to turn it into an FPS. The road to redemption was full of controversy.

WHEN IS THE NEXT EPISODE OUT?
Here's the schedule for this season:
9/16: Metroid Prime
9/23: Prime 2: Echoes
9/30: Prime 3: Corruption
10/7: Donkey Kong Country Returns
10/14: DKC Tropical Freeze

HOW DID YOU PLAY WITH KEYBOARD & MOUSE?
I started with this config, then edited it to suit my preferences: https://www.reddit.com/r/Metroid/comments/2i4cqf/who_has_played_the_prime_trilogy_on_dolphin_with/ckysiic/?st=j7no9ju3&sh=f0f6b6e7

However, the Dolphin emulator recently added the ability to "passthrough" a Bluetooth device, and massively improved its ability to interface with a real Wii Remote. Using a real controller now feels just like it does on an actual console. So if that's an option for you, I'd recommend it.

WILL YOU COVER SAMUS RETURNS AND PRIME 4?
Yeah, at some point. At the moment I don't have _that_ good of a way to capture 3DS footage, though.

WHAT ABOUT OTHER M?
That's this season's Patreon milestone bonus! Same as with the 2D series where the bonus was AM2R, if we hit that milestone, I'll release the episode to everyone on YouTube.
