One thing I forgot to cover in this video is the book is surprisingly musical. There are character's that break into song, or use song to tell of great tales. In general, I was surprised how fast the movie's pace was. Being just under 3 hours, moved like a bullet. Especially after seeing how much was dropped from the book. As mentioned in the review, I can compare the other 2 books as well, but I've got to read them again first. Another one I can do as well is The Hobbit. For that movie comparison, I'll be talking about the animated version that came out in the 1970's. Mostly because I don't want to sit through roughly 9 hours of footage, plus I don't think the animated version get's as much credit as it deserves. All the same, I hope you enjoy this comparison.
