THE FINAL RUN - NFS RUN 4K - Complete Last Gameplay
2011 saw the development of the racing video game Need for Speed: The Run by EA Black Box and its release by Electronic Arts. It is Black Box's last game in the Need for Speed franchise before the studio closed in April 2013. It is the eighteenth iteration in the series.
In contrast to earlier games in the series, The Run offers a large selection of real-life automobiles to drive in and a vast array of races set against real-life backdrops, such as the cities of New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. In the single-player campaign of the game, players take on the role of street racer Jack Rourke, who is competing in a major race from San Francisco to New York and trying to win it in spite of a variety of obstacles.
"Sit somewhere between Shift and Hot Pursuit" is how the driving model of the game is defined; it is neither as arcade-styled as Hot Pursuit nor as simulator-styled as Shift. The Run uses a wide variety of real-world automobiles; according to the description, "each car presents a different driving challenge for the player," this includes the typical assortment of muscle cars, street racers, and elegant exotics. The Pagani Huayra and the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S have only been digitally recreated for the game. The damage scheme is reminiscent of Hot Pursuit's.
