Today it is the first day of Metro trains and buses running through the new Preston station in operation, which is recorded at Preston on September 5, 2022 (the day when this station is recently rebuilt and reopened).

Two X’Trapolis train sets are running up and down Mernda services arriving and departing the new Preston station while two buses (Ventura Ivanhoe’s no.989 and Kinetic North Fitzroy’s no.1146) are running past the station on Murray Road.

I also have a couple of photos of the entire new Preston train station as well as an information sheet about this train station.
