I honestly do think that this is one of the more interesting boss fights, even though I didn't say much on this topic during my play through. Most of the bosses in this game are either in tight corners (Capra Demon, Tower Minotaur), or have huge area of effect attacks which pool across the floor (Gaping Dragon, Quelaag). Even more bosses snipe from above a pit and occasionally land for a moment to get some physical attacks in (Moonlight Butterfly, Ceaseless Discharge).
I think it's interesting that this map actually starts out with environmental hazards. I also fear that there's more of this to come.
