4My reaction while watching The Following "Chapter 1". The Following "Pilot" Episode-- 4.38/5 STARS! Excellent Editing, Directing, Script and Cast. Pace issues are the only thing that I did not enjoy. With that said-- Pace kept this episode from a 5/5 Star rating. The story flows like water but then something happens and they repeat the pace pattern over and over instead of picking up a slow jog or full out sprint! The last 5 minutes of the show gave it a much needed boast of .38!!! Kevin Bacon IS BACK! He brings that Veteran status to the small screen giving it a BIG SCREEN vibe. The TV show plays out like a Movie-- BUDGET USED WISELY! Just enough scary moments that you will keep the lights on! 4#TEAMDOPENESS

When notorious serial killer JOE CARROLL (James Purefoy) escapes from death row, the FBI calls former agent RYAN HARDY (Bacon) to consult on the case. Having since withdrawn from the public eye, Hardy was responsible for Carroll's capture in 2003, after Carroll murdered 14 female students on the Virginia college campus where he taught literature.
