In this video I analyze Ty Ronning of the Vancouver Giants. I take a look at his skating stride in slow motion to help other hockey players better understand what I call the evolution of the stride. I show that the first push is not the same as the 3rd or 5th push. The stride changes as the player accelerates.

This video touches on arm swing in the forward stride which is commonly talked about among power skating instructors. In my opinion the arms should simply counter the leg movements for a natural stride.
