The Front is a survival open-world crafting shooter. You play the role of a resistance fighter sent back in time to stop the rise of a tyrannical empire. Collect resources, craft tech, build shelters, and fight monsters to accomplish your mission. Start with a bow and arrow and work your way up to assault rifles, helicopters and tanks against up to 80 players per server. Play solo in your own sandbox world, with your friends on a locally hosted game/private server or against players anywhere in the world! Build your base from the ground up, install automated defenses, and protect it from other players. Raid your opponents, but be careful not to make powerful enemies who will take their regenge! If you prefer to fight the AI with others and not other people there are PvE servers that cater for that also.

The Front brings elements from several other titles into a unique package that is both addictive and rewarding. It's not just a suvival game, not just a FPS.

Servers range from friendly to hardcore depending on what experince you want to have, many have regular wipes so you can all start at the same point - others servers persist longer. I'm on NOOB SERVER which is a noob friendly place where basic rules such as not greifing starter bases are there to help let new players get a chance to build up.
