Welcome back to Tiny Blue Games! My name is Csaw or Chris, and today we are about Guild Wars 2 in 2021. So last week I made a video discussing the possibility of a GW3 be released at the end of the next GW2 expansion "End of Dragons". This video was complete speculation on my part, and focused in on the optimizations the GW2 engine was in need of and Arenanet's constant push to be at the cutting edge of the MMORPG market. Welp, 3 days later Guild Wars 2 released a blog post that covered most of the topics in great detail (talk about timing haha!) In the post (linked above), Arenanet essentially doubles down on GW2 and makes it very clear that the game is their primairy focus for the forseable future. We learn about some old team members that are coming back to help refocus the game on fixing player problems and we even learn about a couple of new features coming in the future: DirectX11 integration and World vs. World restructuring!
