This book is part of the Platform Studies series by MIT Press, looking in depth at software or computer hardware. With over 300 pages and illustrations, Jimmy Maher tells the story of the Commodore Amiga. From its launch in 1985 with the Boing ball demo, through important applications such as Deluxe Paint and the Video Toaster, the impact of the demo scene and the failure of Commodore, it is a well-told story with plenty of technical detail.
